SUNDAY WORSHIP
The worship service on Sunday December 18, 2022 will be live from Plura Hills, and streamed on Zoom too. This week Rev. Emily Cooke will be leading our service. Mt Paul will project the service on the screen at Mt Paul. We will have the sanctuary open every Sunday to have either the minister leading the service in person, or we will project the service from Plura Hills on the alternate weeks. The service will begin at 10 am each and every week.
Worship Service during the Christmas Season will be as follows:
Worship Service at Mt. Paul will be at 4:30 PM on Christmas Eve, at Plura Hills at 7:00 PM on Christmas Eve.
Mt. Paul and Plura Hills will not have in person services on December 25th.
Rev. Emily Cooke is leading a Christmas Day service with Pastor Jane Gingrich from Hill of Peace Lutheran Church and Pastor Andrea Tisher from Southwest Community Church at 10:00 AM at Hills of Peace Lutheran Church (695 Robson Drive). A service link will be sent out next week for the Christmas Day service.
Mt Paul – NATIONAL ADVENT SERIES 
Regional Interactive Conversation on Zoom
Each Friday, 12:00 – 1:00 pm, in Advent, you are invited to join a weekly zoom Southern Interior Region Advent Conversation. This will be informal with some good questions and conversation to engage the presenters’ topics of “Signs of the Time”; “Finding the Good Path”; “God’s Love Included everyone”; and “The Cost of Discipleship”.
We will meet on Fridays Dec. 16th, and 23rd. Sign-up for Friday conversations: [email protected] and/or [email protected] Rev. Emily Cooke will be helping with the Friday Zoom conversations.
DID YOU KNOW
DID YOU KNOW that for the ZOOM broadcasts from Mount Paul we can only have one microphone active at a time, or the sound becomes almost impossible to decipher due to feedback. When someone is using the handheld mic for announcements, scriptures or prayers, Rev. Emily has to mute her mic, and when the handheld mic is finished, it must be shut off in order to understand Rev. Emily on the ZOOM broadcast. Occasionally the mic does not get shut off, and we apologize for the sound quality to all our ZOOM users.
WHITE GIFT GIVING 
Once again we are supporting the Y Women’s Emergency shelter–donations of NEW ITEMS–clothing, games or Gift Cards for Children, Youth and Women.
Grocery Hampers will be prepared for Seniors – NON PERISHAVBLE, SMALL QUANTITY ITEMS please. Donations will be accepted Sundays at Worship Service. There’s a list available at the church, by calling: Mary D or Betty G., or please see the “Wish List.” post. Printed copies of the “Wish List” are available at the church. The last day for donations is December 24, 2022 (Christmas Eve).
ANNUAL REPORTS
Annual Reports are due from working groups and chairpersons by January 21, 2023. In order for Margaret to compile and print the Annual Report before January 31, 2023 it is important to submit reports by the due date. When submitting your reports the heading of the report should be BOLDED and the font should be Arial 14. The body of the report should be in the font of Arial 12. Also, send documents in WORD format only (with the exception of financial and budget reports).
OFFICE CLOSED
Margaret will be off from December 25th to January 3rd inclusive so the office will be closed. She will be returning to work on January 4th, 2023. Rev. Emily Cooke will be off from December 26th to January 16th inclusive. Rev. Emily Cooke will be returning to work on January 17th, 2023. Rev. Emily Cooke will be leading the Sunday Worship Services on January 22nd, 2023. Please contact Dorothy G or Don L in case of emergency other than Pastoral Care.

KUC – ADVENT CANDLELIGHT MEDITATION
Waiting … Advent Candlelight Meditation (on ZOOM). We all need those moments of quietude in this busy world. Come join Marcia online for a half hour of contemplation and inner preparation for the coming of Christmas. All are welcome!
