SUNDAY WORSHIP
The worship service on Sunday January 15 , 2023 will be live from Plura Hills, and streamed on Zoom too. Mount Paul will project the service on the screen at Mount Paul. We will have the sanctuary open every Sunday to have either the minister leading the service in person, or we will project the service from Plura Hills on the alternate weeks. The service will begin at 10 am each and every week.
*** January 22, 2023 marks the beginning of our trial of a live in-person service at 1:30 pm. *******
DID YOU KNOW
DID YOU KNOW that we transferred $20,000 from the funds remaining from the sale of the church building to our Emerging Congregational Needs Account on January 4, 2023, leaving $70,000 remaining in the funds from the sale of the church, and $147,817.65 in our Emerging Congregational Needs Account. Our 2023 budget projects we will have to withdraw $38,000 from the Emerging Congregational Needs Account in 2023 in order to pay our expenses. At that rate we have 5 years of cash left in our trust fund.
ANNUAL REPORTS
Annual Reports are due from working groups and chairpersons by January 21, 2023. In order for Margaret to compile and print the Annual Report before January 31, 2023 it is important to submit reports by the due date. When submitting your reports the heading of the report should be BOLDED and the font should be Arial 14. The body of the report should be in the font of Arial 12. Also, send documents in WORD format only (with the exception of financial and budget reports).
WHITE GIFT GIVING
THANK YOU to all who donated and participated in any way to facilitate our White Gift Givings, and deliveries. All of the recipients were greatly appreciative.
REV. EMILY’S HOLIDAYS
Rev. Emily Cooke will be off from
December 26, 2022 to January 16, 2023 inclusive. Rev. Emily Cooke will be returning to work on January 17, 2023. Rev. Emily Cooke will be leading the Sunday Worship Services on January 22, 2023. This week we are praying for the ministry congregation of: Oakridge UC, Oasis United Church, Okanagan falls UC, Okanagan Japanese UC, Oliver UC, and O’man’s Nam’a (We Are One) Plant (Port Hardy). As participants in the World Council of Churches, we are invited to remember and pray for the peoples of Iran, Iraq, and Syria.
