SUNDAY WORSHIP
April 3, 2022 Worship Service will be at Mt. Paul in person. We have returned to in person worship services on alternating Sundays at Mt Paul UC and Plura Hills. Sunday Service Worship Service will also be available by ZOOM for both churches. Rev. Emily will be leading the service at 10:00 AM. Wilf F will be playing the piano for us.
BIKE EXCHANGE-A Bike Exchange was held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 between 9 AM – 2 PM in the Mt. Paul United Church Parking Lot. 3 bikes were donated to the exchange but no bikes were given out so those 3 bikes were given to the Women’s Shelter. Thanks to the volunteers from Kamloops Community Bike Collective for their efforts.
“BE ROOTED IN THE WORD” PLANT SALE – FUNDRAISER
Looking for volunteers to start cuttings and plant seeds now for a plant sale near the end of April/beginning of May exact date TO BE DECIDED. Will also be looking for sale volunteers later. A signup sheet will be circulated to see if there is sufficient support to carry the event off.

A new schedule will be created covering 6 months (May 1, 2022 to October 30, 2022).
Start thinking how you can share your gifts and talents. Please ask Rev. Emily how you can help. It is important to send in your information by email AS SOON AS POSSIBLE as to which duty/duties you would like to volunteer for. The deadline for submitting your interests is APRIL 10, 2022. The revised Volunteer Ministry Form will be emailed with the Announcements on March 27, April 3, and April 10, 2022.

This week we are praying for the ministry congregation of: St. John’s Sunshine Coast, St. John’s UC (Grand Forks, Sidney), St. Mary’s Anglican/UCSM (Sorrento), and St. Michael’s Care Home. As participants in the World Council of Churches, we are invited to remember and pray for the peoples of Czechia, Poland, and Slovakia.
KUC – 31st~ “Y’all Better Quiet Down!” Invitation
An upcoming event by the Ask Wellness Society 2SLGBTQ+ Support Program: Y’all Better Quiet Down! On March 31st we celebrate Trans Day of Visibility, a day to recognize the importance of inclusion and highlight the voices of transgender people.
On March 31st at 6:00 PM (doors open at 5:00 PM), join us for “Y’all Better Quiet Down!” We will watch an inspiring speech by Sylvia Rivera. This short film will be followed by the movie “She’s A Boy I Knew”. This event will be held at the Kamloops Film Society (The Paramount Theatre) with tickets being by donation.
