Life & Ministry of Mt Paul United Church
Week of October 30, 2022 – November 6, 2022
Here @ Mt Paul
CONGREGATIONAL MEETING
We will be having a congregational meeting after Mount Paul’s church service on October 30th.We will be hosted by Kathy Davies, our regional minister.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and explore the future of Mount Paul as a viable church. As you all know, we have a limited amount of funds to carry on and we are only getting a few regulars attending church services so this discussion needs to be had. PLEASE attend on October 30th – hopefully in person but at least by Zoom with your questions and or suggestions.
We will be having a Sunday lunch which will only be sandwiches and dessert.
SUNDAY WORSHIP
The worship service on Sunday October 30, 2022 will be live from Mt Paul, and streamed on Zoom too. This week Rev. Emily Cooke will be leading our service. Plura Hills will project the service on the screen at Plura Hills. We will have the sanctuary open every Sunday to have either the minister leading the service in person, or we will project the service from Plura Hills on the alternate weeks. The service will begin at 10 am each and every week.
SOCKTOBER 2022
Socktober 2022 will run Oct 1 – Nov 15. We will collect warm clothing such as hats, mitts, scarves, toques, blankets, long johns, undershirts, and toiletries etc. (New or Gently Used ADULT). People can bring stuff to the church on Sundays. After Nov 15, Kathleen will arrange for them to be delivered to either Mustard Seed or Ask Wellness.

KUC – The Lord’s Prayer
It will be According to the KUC newsletter, the following is the Lord’s Prayer, translated directly from the original Aramaic.
O cosmic Birther of all radiance and vibration,
soften the ground of our being and carve out a space within us where your Presence can abide.
Fill us with your creativity so that we may be empowered to bear the fruit of your mission.
Let each of our actions bear fruit in accordance with our desire.
Endow us with the wisdom to produce and share what each being needs to grow and flourish.
Untie the tangled threads of destiny that bind us, as we release others from the entanglement of past mistakes.
Do not let us be seduced by that which would divert us from our true purpose, but illuminate the opportunities of the present moment.
For you are the ground and the fruitful vision, the birth, power, and fulfillment, as all is gathered and made whole once again.
And So It Is!
