Volunteer Ministry for Sunday Service
As we resume in person worship services, we require volunteers to carry out the vital duties listed below. We encourage you to offer your gifts and talents in service of your church wherever you can. Without you these duties will not be able to be completed.
Please consider how you might be part of our Sunday ministry. The new Schedule is being prepared for May 1, 2022 to October 30, 2022. Please indicate your interests so you can be included on the new list. Training will be provided as needed.
Volunteers are vital to a meaningful worship experience. Volunteers need to inform the office of any changes, holiday dates or special instructions.
______USHER/GREETER: A shared position. Arrive at approximately 10:30 a.m. to greet at the door, assist with nametags and other info. Welcome newcomers and visitors & show them to coffee and if possible introduce them around. Ensure visitors sign the visitor sheet. Hand out bulletins. Seat latecomers. Take up the offering. Ensure that the main door is locked after worship service.
______PRAYER: Prayers of the People offered by Mt. Paul congregants. A rewarding experience for all. These heart-felt prayers enrich our services. Rev. Emily will offer some training for this rewarding experience for those that request it.
______READER: Arrive at 10:30 a.m. Read given Scripture texts for the day. Rev. Emily will provide all materials.
______TELLER: (2 people or a couple) count offerings immediately after worship service, record contributions on sheets provided and make a deposit to the bank. Training will be provided for new tellers.
______COFFEE: (2 people or a couple) Prepare coffee, tea, juice for after worship service. If desired supply simple refreshments i.e. muffins, cookies or breads. Simple is best. Clean up afterwards.
______COMMUNION SERVERS: (4 people) help prepare the bread, juice, serve communion during worship, and clean up.
______RECYCLING: For one month, responsible for picking up and taking into recycling our collection of cans and bottles in the office.
______CHAIRS: Set up chairs prior to Sunday Service. Chairs may be set up either Saturday or before 10:30 AM Sunday.
Holiday Dates and/or Special Instructions:
